May your birthday......

I set myself a challenge .........
I bought my ticket to go to the craft show in Harrogate in March.
BUT I decided I need to use some of the things I bought
last year before I go and buy more .....

So here is a card made with Crafter's Companions
Create a Card die Floral Melody.
I bought this when it was released and its sat there until now unused !!! Oops!

So in an effort to actually get ahead this year and make some cards for my friends.
I made this pink and white card.

The sentiment is a very old stamp from PSX I had, also sat in a box
since it was last touched for 4 years ago ............
Flowers are WOC, leaves are Crafter's Companion Leaf die 2.
I used Victorian Velvet Distress ink, gems and glitter glue on the card.

Right, I hope when I need this I don't forget I made it !! lol
Its too early to send for a birthday in April t the USA ????
Lol!!!!!
Happy Crafting !!!

Guest Book and Box

I was recently asked to make a Guest Book for a friends wedding.
The colours were blue and gold, beautiful!
This is what I created for her.

I was so thrilled as I have been wanting to make blue
flowers for ages and just not got round to it!!

So I also decided to make a box for it to be kept in......
I decided to make it different on the outer than the book itself.

The words are chipboard I had specially cut from Want2Scrap,
They really are awesome people there!
I used gold gilding wax to colour the words, it covered beautifully!

For the box I used the Timeless Amour die, for the hearts,
Vintage Floret stamp and die for the flowers and
classic leaf die and open leaf stamp set all from Heartfelt Creations.

On the guest book I used the same flower and leaves stamps and dies.
I just made the flowers differently, I used the Arianna Lace die under the rose,
and added lots of heart gems  !!!

I really hope she liked it !!
Happy Craftiing

Believe in the magic

Well it may still be January but here is a Christmas card !!
I set myself a goal this year to get on and make my Christmas cards!!
I made two last year ........ (hangs head in shame)

So I now need to get on and do a few more !!! lol !
or maybe I will get Caitlyn to make some!! hehe
BUT.............
Can you believe I only just spotted the Christmas Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers !!!
How did I miss it .......... Love Splitcoast Stampers, such amazing ladies.
So hopefully I will definitely have cards for Christmas this year!!!

I made this card using the Cut Mat Create dies 1A and 1B
from Heartfelt Creations.
It is a very quick and easy card to make!

I cut a star into the top layer with star dies from Crafter's Companion,
and coloured red pen on the area underneath.
Of course I had to glitter it too!!

The sentiment is from the Holly Berry set at Heartfelt Creations.

I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest by Dawn Olchefske.
Happy crafting !!

Fathers Day Card

Yes you read it right !! A Father's Day card !
I am so in advance for this year !!
I might even get some Christmas cards made this year...........
This is so not like my cards Caitlyn
asked me if I had really made it !!! Cheeky!!

You know when you just have this urge to use an item and create
well that's what happened to me and this was the result!

I used the Cut Mat Create 1A die to make the card
and layered it with the co-ordinating 1B die from Heartfelt Creations.
I also used the smaller rectangle dies from the 1B set on the papers.
The papers are from Celebrate the Journey Paper Pad, sentiment is
from the Classic Message set both from Heartfelt Creations.
I inked the edges with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

The stars are from Crafter's Companion and the letters are Spellbinders.
I layered the papers and stars with 3D Foam pads.

So, Isabella's card for Chris is all ready for Father's Day!
Right........... best go and do some work!!
Happy crafting!

Just playing with pens and inks really helped.

HCPC-3648 Home Sweet home Cling stamp
HCD 756 Birds and blooms die set
HCD 757 Leafy Branch Die set

Victorian Velvet and Peeled Paint Distress inks. Brown ink,
Gems, Blending solution, glue, 3D foam pads, white cardstock,

then stamp your image in the oval centre. This ensures the image is in
teh correct place on your card. Colour the image and adhere the frame
to the card. Stamp the Leaf, the birds, and the flowers with
brown ink. Colour the birds with alcohol pens and colour the leaves with the
peeled paint ink using the blending solution and tool. Shape the flowers and

Fluffy Birdies Tutorial

These gorgeous birdies are so easy to colour !
You will have so much fun with these !
Here is how I coloured mine with Promarkers.
You can colour them in other ways too!

You will need Cornflower, Pastel Blue and Ivory coloured pens,
and white card of your choice.

First of all stamp your birds onto white card
and die cut out.

Colour the top section of the birdie in Pastel Blue.

Highlight the tail, wing and top of the head with the Cornflower pen.

Go over the whole of the coloured area again with the Pastel Blue.

Using the Ivory pen colour the chest and up
over the blue to under the eye.

Add some pastel blue to the chest.

Go over the area again with the Ivory pen so the blue blends in.
And you done !!

You could use inks or chalks with finger daubers to colour the bird too !!

Have great fun ! These Cheeky birds are gorgeous to craft with!

Colouring Leaves Tutorial

I have been asked many times
how I colour my leaves, so here you go!!

You will need a green ink (I used Peeled Paint Distress Ink) and a finger dauber,
brown ink to stamp the image with along with a leaf stamp and co-ordinating die.
I used the Classic leaf die and open leaf stamp set.

1. Using a stamped and die cut image lightly shade
the leaf with the green ink.

2. Apply heavier ink to the finger dauber and apply the ink around all
the edges of each leaf. This creates a wonderful shaded effect.

3. Shape the leaf and you are ready to use it on your project!

You can use this technique on any leaf dies,
 stamps and co-ordinating dies !

Have fun getting inky !!!

Make your own banners

Here is my second project this week for Heartfelt Creations.
I made these layered pennants by using my square Cut Mat Create dies !

I have struggled so many times to cut the perfect banner I can layer with.
This technique is so easy to do and involves no measuring!
1. You will need 2 pieces of card if you wish to layer the banners.

1 x 3" x 6" and 1 x 4" x 6 1/2" and a square die from the Cut Mat
Create 2A die set.

2. Die cut the card with the corner of the square.
To get a central shape ensure the edge of the card is on the inner
of the die on both sides of the card.

3. You will have a banner shape piece of card, repeat the die cutting
process for the other piece of card and you will be able to layer
the pieces together.

The card I made is a 7" x 5" card so the pieces fit that size card.

To make the card I used the following:
459222 Paper Blossoms Tools
452255 Grand Calibur
HCD 748 Arianna Blooms Dies
HCDP1 244 Arianna Blooms Paper Pad
HCPC 3608 Arianna Blooms PreCut set
HCD2-751 Cut Mat Create 2A die
HCD 736 Classic leaf die
HCPC 3545 Open Leaf PreCut set
HCD1-740 Sweet Juliet Die

Other Products Used : White centura pearl card, pearl gems, glitter glue,
3D Foam pads, edger tool, Inks; Brown, Peeled paint, and Victorian Velvet Distress inks.

Cut a tent card 7" x 5". Cut a piece of card 3" x 6" and a piece 4" x 6 1/2". Using
the square die cut them along the bottom to make the pennant shape
see instructions above how to do this.

Use the edger tool on all sides of the pennant shapes. Adhere and layer onto the card
with 3D foam pads. Die cut the swirly leaves in white card. Die cut the Sweet Juliet flower
and adhere pearl gems onto it. Stamp, cut, colour and shape the flowers and leaves. Adhere
pearl gems into the flower centres and glitter the petals. Adhere the flowers and leaves
to your card and your project is complete.

All Geared up flower tutorial

I was asked some time ago now to do a step by step tutorial how I made my
flowers, leaves and cogs from the All Geared up collection
from Heartfelt Creations. So here we are !!!

Heartfelt Design Team

First of all the Leaves, to make these you will need:
Copper 3D Stamp paint
HCD 754 All Geared up Die (leaf)

other items:
Metallic inks and finger daubers
Spray and Sparkle Iridescent
White card

Using a light green metallic ink Colour the leaf die cut.

Using a dark green metallic ink colour the edges of the leaf.

Using your finger apply a metallic blue ink onto the leaf in places but not all over it.

Apply the copper 3D paint randomly over the leaf.

The last stage of making the leaf is to
Spray with the Spray and Sparkle. This will give the leaf a lovely sheen.
Curl to give dimention.

Next the Cogs..............
To make these you will need the following:
119390436 3D copper paint
119390536 3D Walnut paint
HCD 754 All Geared up Die (cog die)

other items:
Weathered Wood Distress ink and dauber
white card, screw brads

Using the Weathered Wood ink randomly apply it
over the Cog die cut but not covering it completely.

Using the copper 3D paint apply to the white areas left on the cog.

The last step is to use the Walnut 3D Paint apply to the edges of the cog
and to small areas of the cog so there is a mixed colour look.

Last but not least the flowers !
To make these I used:
HCD 754 All Geared up Die (large and small flower)
119390436 Copper 3D Stamp paint

other items:
Faded Jeans and Weathered Wood Distress Ink and daubers
Spray bottle, White card, shaping tool.

Using the Weathered Wood ink colour the flower die cuts.

Using the Faded Jeans ink apply randomly over the flower.

Still using the Faded Jeans ink colour the edges of the flowers.

Using a spray bottle add water to some 3D paint and mix together.
Spray over the flowers to look like rust spots !

When the flower is dry curl the edges over a shaping tool.

Shape the edges of the flowers.

Cover the tops of the screw brads with the copper 3D stamp paint.

Layer the smaller flower over the larger one and secure with the brad.

All your pieces are now complete to create your Geared up projects !

Hope you have fun with this collection !!
I sure have I LOVED getting inky !!

Happy crafting.
